What a difference a day makes!

I can't believe we're ten days in! Fourteen to go. The moving truck arrives two weeks today. Oy!

Here are some photos we took last night of the downstairs demolition -- looking VERY different with some of the walls knocked out!

looking into back extension from dining room. Wall gone.

Looking into extension from living room.

Inside extension. Skylights in place above! Aluminum window and door will be replaced by nicer ones.

A couple of the skylights from above .

View from extension toward living room and front door. (Girls were making a video. Not sure whether it will end up on blog or not...)

Dining room back to original size!

Living room, looking toward front door. There's that darn range that arrived too early.

Living room. Fireplace gone! Faux brick too.

Former kitchen, will become den. Door on right will be closed off and that space will be a small bathroom.

Lost one comment today already what I said was .It must be wonderful to see your house emerge from it's chrysalis. The boy's look like they are really moving along going so fast they even throw out the new demo. stuff. Does the basement have a door to the outside, will there be one.hod do I get a blog icon that shows incoming.
Even tho you got the georgeous sale girl to demonstrate the couch the jury is still out for me.

I changed the settings so that comments should post automatically now. Hope it's better. Yes, it's funny: I can hear the construction work from here (saws, hammers) so we know they are working hard. We had one neighbour complain a couple of times about the noise (too early, on Family Day, on Sundays, etc.), so we know they're putting in overtime too! (We wrote a letter to our new neighbours, hoping to pacify them.) We will keep searching for a couch, but as long as you put a big feather pillow behind your back, as I have in the pic, it's pretty comfy. Honestly!

I hear the construction work too as I leave the house in the morning for work! They certainly are working hard.
Wow - those pix are an amazing record of the work involved.
Give me my marching orders on the "day" Jackie! And by fragiles, I also mean your perfumes - whatever!!!! M

Haha, Martha. Will do! The perfumes will definitely be going. Doesn't look like we're going to have any time to sort or cull before the movers come!
